Thalassemia Screening
➢ Thalassemia is a genetic blood disorder that affects the body’s ability to produce
haemoglobin.
➢ Early detection through simple screening can prevent the birth of affected
children and help save lives.
Our Mission:
To create awareness, prevent new cases, and support families through timely diagnosis
and counselling.
Free Screening Includes:
➢ Thalassemia Minor Detection
➢ Haemoglobin Level Check
➢ Genetic Counselling (for at-risk individuals)
Who Should Get Screened?
o College/School Students (16+ years)
o Engaged/Married Couples
o Anyone planning to have children
o Family history of anaemia or blood disorders
Why It Matters:
1 in 25 Indians is a Thalassemia Minor.
If both parents are carriers, there's a 25% risk in every pregnancy.
Early screening = Prevention for generations.
